gray weekends are for sewing and soup

It was a fairly quiet weekend here, the gray and colder weather didn't really encourage lots of exciting outdoor adventures so it turned into more of a stay inside and get things crossed off the list kind of weekend. I made a chili/tomato soup hybrid which I served topped with avocado and goat cheese and some really nice cornbread that I baked in mini round pans which made super cute little corn cakes. I also got a lot of sewing, design and color work done. It was productive as a two day period can be, with a bit of fun thrown in for good measure! Now I just hope I can continue this through the week.
